StereoPill is a crowdsourcing application focused on the music industry. The application can obtain information directly from attendees prior to an event. DJs, party hosts and musicians can review the data to see which songs or genres attendees want to hear the most. The application is also a database for music industry insiders to learn which music is the most frequently requested based on various demographics. Users can browse for data by age group, event type and geographic location. Party hosts can invite guests to vote on the songs played through popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter as well as email. The user receives the information organized in a spreadsheet and can use it as a reference to provide maximum entertainment for their guests or event attendees.Show more screenshots »
StereoPill was founded in November of 2011 by Ari Rosenfield. The application has received some attention online however it has not been extensively reviewed or commented on. Users appreciate the unique service offered by StereoPill. The application works for a wide range of individuals, from larger event organizers to house parties and other gatherings. The application has made an overall positive impression with users on the internet.
StereoPill provides a unique service that is not easy to find elsewhere. The application is the user’s guide to discovering what their guests or event attendees want to hear. The application is based around the idea that a good playlist will keep more guests on the dance floor. The service provides users with plenty of music-related data, which can be sorted by location, age group and event type.
StereoPill takes its music focus and applies it to a trendy yet professional website and interface. The application favors dark backgrounds and hint of vibrant gold to create a dramatic contrast that is as appeasing to the eyes as a good playlist is to the ears. Each page is well organized, with absolutely no clutter to challenge the user as they search for the best songs to play at parties and other events.
A new user can sign up for a StereoPill account by clicking the gold “Try It Free!” button in the upper right hand corner of the homepage. The form on the following page asks for an email address and password. After submitting the form, the user is automatically logged in and can begin creating their first event. A note at the top of the new event form lets the user know that their first event is “on the house.”
StereoPill doesn’t require a subscription to create an account, and the user’s first event is free. Each additional event will require one event credit. The website sells four credit increments. Users can purchase one event for $15, 10 events for $100, 20 events for $150 or 50 events for $250. The application states that although it doesn’t offer refunds on unused credits, the credit never expires so users can return later to use unspent credits anytime.
StereoPill is a unique application that is ideal for anyone hosting an event or party that will include music. The interface is clean and user friendly and the service itself is very valuable. The only downside is that some users may feel that the credits are a little steep, especially if the user is hosting a smaller personal event. Event organizers may find that StereoPill has more to offer and they can buy credits in larger increments.
